“Sometimes I think you do too much for me.”

“Nothing is too much when it comes to you.”

“Let’s go home,” she whispers into the crook of my neck.

I nod, but she doesn’t know that I’m already there.

“This is for me?”
“It's always for you.”

I really enjoyed reading Collide, which is the first book in the interconnected series Off the Ice, but nothing could've prepared me for how much I would love Spiral. This book was literally perfect in so many ways. Eli? Oh he's just the new love of my life, because he is absolute perfection. And Sage? I absolutely loved her character because she’s a total icon.

Safe to say that Eli is my favorite guy from this series as of now. I did not expect to love him as much as I did, but what can I say when he's the most thoughtful, gentle, kind, protective, and patient man? He should honestly stop raising my standards. For a hockey guy, it was so refreshing to see him shy and reserved instead of someone full of himself, a common theme in other hockey romances. Oh, and did I mention he cooks and bakes?! I won't tell you anything more, you'll just have to see for yourself because I don't want to give too much away.

Moving onto Sage. She was so determined, and strong, and I really loved seeing that. It made her character feel so much more real. The way she cared for her brother was everything; she would always put him before herself. I really wanted to give her a hug and tell her that she also deserved time for herself. She needed someone to take care of her for once, but she just didn't know how to ask. Luckily, Eli saw right through her which I loved. These characters deserve the world.

Their relationship completely melted my heart because of its literal goals. Sage and Eli balanced each other out perfectly. This book was everything I needed and more. If you love fake dating, sports romance, and found family, you need to read this!
